My responsibilities included corporate and private labour relations, and occupational health and safety, as well as personnel auditing, recruiting, contractual agreements and mediation. My role was also to represent clients at an employment authority, and required of me a broad knowledge within the labour relations field.
While completing my Bachelors of Law (distance learning) I worked full time as a law clerk for 2 years. This provided me with an excellent opportunity to be exposed to the legal field and gained me confidence in dealing with court processes, clients and stakeholders. My main responsibilities were civil litigation, debt collection and client representation and in 2007 I was admitted as a Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
