- Performed dissertation research within the Rolls-Royce University Technology Center in Performace Engineering. - Researched more efficient designs for a modern high bypass gas turbine. - Used advanced computational tools for fluid dynamics and mechanical design. - Extended knowledge in the field of highly separated flows, flow control through boundary layer re-energization and inlet guide vane operation at highly negative incidence angles. - Gained skills in presentation and effective communication of results to industrial partners. - Received an overall thesis mark of 86%, amongst the best of the entire programme.
