Creativity, imagination and an innovative attitude are essential skills for an engineer to come to a good solution for design problems and eventually beautiful buildings. Trained as building science engineer (and architect) with a strong interest in computational design and sustainable development. Every project I've worked on, whether it be the building scale iMac, a new faculty building for the TU Delft, a new design for a regional hospital or the renovation of museum Boijmans van Beuningen, it all started with imagination and creativity to solve complicated design challenges. My drive and ambition is to make the digital way of working in the construction industry common, to make it more resilient to the great ambition that lies ahead. Working smarter, faster and more efficient is necessary if we want to make our industry Paris-proof and this can only be achieved when we combine our human intellect with the right digital tools. Passionate about parametric and generative design, especially when it's combined with building science. Experience working with Rhino and Grasshopper.
Working on some of the most challenging projects in the Netherlands, like: - The renovation of Boijmans van Beuningen - Monumental office in The Hague - Slingeland Hospital - Haags Historisch Museum
GIS, BIM, data and point clouds... all great developments on themselves. But what happens when those are brought together and combined?! Right, something great occurs. I was responsible for the development of a new build digital platform. Leading a R&D team of 3D specialists to create innovative solutions and a team of software developers. Bridging the gap between business and IT specialists.
