I am an Attorney at Law and Patent Attorney committed to providing supportive legal guidance to companies operating in the Biopharma and Deep-Tech industries, including those exploring applications in AI-Healthcare. Having transitioned from a career in scientific research, it is a great joy for me to support the biotech community, helping fellow innovators translate their pioneering work into commercial success. My foundation is distinguished by a Ph.D. in Neuroscience (UCL) and an M.Sc. in Oncology (University of Nottingham), which allows me to approach complex technical and R&D issues with a detailed, scientific perspective. My work centers on helping clients navigate global business development (BD) and cross-border transactions. As a legal professional with scientific training, I strive to ensure that our commercial strategies are soundly informed by the underlying technology and intellectual property. I established the Law Office of Woojin Lee to serve as reliable outside counsel, assisting various biotech and medical device companies with their most critical agreements. I specialize in high-value commercialization contracts such as licensing, co-development, CMO/CDMO, CRO, and specialized data agreements. My goal is to offer practical, integrated advice on strategic aspects like deal structure, partner due-diligence, IP positioning, governance, and effective risk allocation. Additionally, I contribute to the resolution of industry conflicts by serving as an Arbitrator at the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) for biopharma and technology disputes. I am also frequently involved in lecturing, sharing insights on topics like global licensing negotiation, English-language contracting, and the foundational issues surrounding emerging technologies. Ultimately, I aim to use my blend of legal, scientific, and commercial knowledge to help innovative companies responsibly pursue their goals and realize their commercial potential on a global scale.
