About

I design for medium-sized food businesses in food packaging and label design. My specialisation comes in my illustration skills to create custom assets for my clients which include custom iconography, lettering and patterns for packaging, marketing and branding collateral. I am always keen to discover new podcasts, books, and to meet new people (possibly mentors)! Vice versa, I enjoy the opportunity to chat with others and help others just as others have helped me. Experience

  • Independant Designer at SomeChuppy Studi
    Oct 2020 - Present · 5 yrs 10 mos

Working for myself, I work together with other small to medium-sized businesses to visually tell their stories and provide researched creative solutions. A couple of my key achievements include: - Managed subcontractors for a client project and liaise between them and the client, managing client’s requirements and tracking the project phases, while also working on the project as a brand designer myself. - Adapted to a client’s preferred creative style and way of working to accommodate them and streamline the working process and relationship between me and them. This can be as simple as creating payment plans to suit the client's financial needs. - Adapted to client's feedback efficiently. A client once told me that the creative concepts weren't what they were expecting and I bounce back with 2 new concepts of different style and tone. - Went the extra mile with customer service to help a client when they were confused about barcodes relating to label creation. It was out of my personal interest but it helped the client to better understand how it works and strengthened client relations. - Evaluated a client's situation and helped them find their way by providing a free marketing profile. It's not just great for customer service but it is also helpful for them so they can get clarification on what they need to do for their business.

Allowing them to connect but also providing studio talks, tours, and regular networking events for the design community to develop their own peer support system. As city host, a couple of notable achievement include: -Coordinating monthly events, writing event copies, and managing event bookings. • Co-Founder
      Dec 2018 - Oct 2020 · 1 yr 11 mos

Co-founded partnership business alongside my design colleagues. Notable Achievements Include: - Planned internship module, mentored and supervised an SAE graphic design student for 13 weeks providing her industry insight, connections and hands-on client experiences. - Acted as project manager for designing packaging boxes and labels for COSTCO under Fresh Frontier within a 1-2 week timeframe as Fresh Frontier needed it in a pinch. This left Fresh Frontier impressed, leaving a ripple effect inviting other food businesses to contact us for design work. - I managed and designed (mostly on my own) a food truck wrapping project within a week while delivering a memorable and outstanding service. This is proven when the client had come back even when we had raised prices despite being frugal and time-restricted. - Assisted in planning and developing our social media content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Instagram Stories helping to streamline the content marketing process and provide a strong pillar of support to the business. I wrote all the marketing and social media copy and advocated for new ideas, such as introducing Instagram stories where myself and the marketing coordinator would be the main people managing and operating social media. - Advocated and assisted management in an internal peer review system with the intention to help build internal resilience, encourage personal improvement and strengthen bonding within the team. - Facilitated workshops to art teachers and high schools such as Willeton SHS to educate about art styles and healthy artist mindsets - Acted as Sales Coordinator managing the team's sale strategy and as the main contact for clients and external contacts for Plus 4 Creative. Being the sales coordinator also meant I onboarded clients and looked for opportunities for the business. I also acted as a project manager helping assign certain projects (clients) according to the strengths of certain team members.
