- Technical supervision for the highly modified fleet of research aircraft - Aircraft Inspector duties for major modifications / repairs - Maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing the G550 research aircraft - HALO (special mission) - Acting as flight engineer on test and verification flights after modifications - Flight engineer including pre and post flight inspections, trouble shooting and servicing - Review and approval of airworthiness authorities (FAA/EASA/LBA) documents - Review and approval of OEM documents (AD/CB/ASC/EO/repair approval) - Project Manager for the technical integration of the Gulfstream G550 into the Flight Facility - Represented DLR during production, modification, completion aircraft at OEM facility - 2006 Supervision of a Diploma Thesis: Concept of a hangar for the research aircraft Gulfstream G550 - Responsible for the spare parts warehouse and ground support equipment incl. AOG support - Developing maintenance plans with repair and maintenance facilities - Worldwide technical support for all DLR aircraft (flight engineer) - Scheduling technical personal for maintenance and flight campaigns - Training and guidance of aircraft technicians and inspectors - Time and cost control
