Congressional Candidate Kim Myers was identified as a high-priority candidate by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2016. As Canvass Director, I supervised turf and canvassing strategy in the northern half of district NY-22 for the Myers campaign. I recruited and trained a team of 15 professional door-to-door canvassers to build support in the urban epicenter of Utica. My creative methods of recruiting directly from underserved communities produced a highly-effective staff. Though most of my employees had no prior experience in the field, a combination of my training and their local knowledge produced an unparalleled ability to access and persuade local voters. Though the campaign lost most of its rural precincts, Myers won precincts under my jurisdiction in Utica by the highest margin of victory for either candidate in the election district. I also managed administrative duties related to canvass staff payroll and day-to-day HR operations while meeting daily and weekly canvassing shift goals as outlined by DCCC. https://ballotpedia.org/New_York%27s_22nd_Congressional_District_election,_2016
