Wolfgang Mueller has been licensed as an attorney since 1990. Prior to that time, he was an automotive engineer for Chrysler Corporation, where he was involved in the design and development of automotive restraint systems. Mr. Mueller holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He has a national products liability practice and has litigated cases in many states, focusing primarily on automobile crashworthiness. His practice is also focused on wrongful conviction and police misconduct cases, and on construction site accident litigation. Mr. Mueller has been a speaker at seminars for the American Association for Justice (AAJ) on topics involving automobile product liability and the safety of air bags. He is a past member of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) Executive Board and is a member of the Council for the Negligence Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Mueller is a former bodybuilder who acts as counsel for Powerhouse Gyms International, Inc. In 2009, he was appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm to the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission, which oversees professional boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) in the State of Michigan. He was unanimously re-elected as Vice Chairperson of the U.C.C. in 2010. In 2012, Mr. Mueller was re-appointed to the Unarmed Combat Commission by Governor Rick Snyder. In December, 2014, Mr. Mueller was unanimously elected as Chairperson of the Unarmed Combat Commission. In December, 2015, he was unanimously re-elected as Chair of the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission. Mr. Mueller is also a licensed sports agent and a 3rd degree black belt in the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do, and serves as an instructor at Boliard’s Martial Sciences Center in Canton, Michigan. He also volunteers his time with the MORC (Macomb-Oakland Regional Center) Stars hockey team, teaching individuals/athletes with developmental disabilities how to skate and play ice hockey.
