Wolfgang Miesbach is Professor of Medicine at Frankfurt University Hospital, heading the Department of Haemostaseology and the Haemophilia Center of Medical Clinic 2. His career has focused on inherited and acquired coagulation disorders, with an emphasis on haemophilia and related disorders. Miesbach's research interests include quality of life studies, rare coagulation disorders, elderly patients, antiphospholipid syndrome, ITP, TTP, and new treatment options for haemophilia and von Willebrand disease. Since 2015, he has been involved in conducting gene therapy studies for haemophilia. Miesbach is a member of national and international scientific societies and has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, review articles, and book chapters.
