Lighting Design Team Leader, Environmental Engineering
Founding member of the Architectural Lighting Design team at F+P.
My role focussed of the technical aspects of Sustainable Design for everything from individual buildings to masterplanning for cities. My technical expertise includes the following: - architectural lighting - energy efficient electrical design - renewable energy generation - large scale photovoltaic array design and planning - vertical transport planning (that's lifts and escalators) - masterplanning energy strategies My working approach: - I use an analytical approach to problem solving, applying my extensive understanding of a wide range of engineering disciplines as well as real life cost and value - I like to ask the questions others may not ask, eg: "are we addressing the real issue?" rather than a perceived problem or trying to make a unsuitable solution work.
