About

I am a versatile professional in the field of environmental science, management, and engineering, with extensive experience in planning and designing wetland restoration projects, and hydrological modeling. My interests lie in Nature-based Solutions (NbS), particularly in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation, watershed management, water security, biodiversity conservation, and international cooperation. I excel at seeing the bigger picture, linking concepts and ideas into cohesive strategies and guidelines. I also have a passion for writing, visualizing concepts graphically, and creating interactive workshops that engage and inspire participants. Currently, I am involved in a collaborative project with 10 partners throughout Europe (www.spongescapes.eu) as part of my PhD journey, where I am exploring the integrated assessment of NbS to mitigate floods and droughts by improving the water retention capacity of landscapes. I aim to develop a framework for the integrated assessment of these water-related NbS to support their mainstreaming and implementation on the landscape scale. My career goal is to blend my technical expertise with my strengths in systems thinking and my passion for writing, graphic communication, and collaborative learning to contribute to the implementation of solutions that enhance climate resilience and meet the needs of both communities and ecosystems.
