Governance professional operating at the intersection of HSE, Quality and operational systems in complex, matrix organisations. My focus is translating strategy, regulatory requirements, and management intent into operational practice that works in day-to-day execution. With more than 20 years of experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing and large-scale CAPEX projects (~DKK 43bn), I bring a practical understanding of how governance, compliance, and operational systems support stable and reliable operations across multi-site construction environments. I drive implementation across organisational boundaries, aligning engineering, construction and operations without formal line authority to ensure consistent execution of governance and operational standards. I work hands-on with implementation of control-of-work frameworks (Permit to Work, LOTO), incident learning and root cause analysis (RCA/CAPA), and the integration of safety, quality and learning into operational processes. My approach combines systems thinking with operational insight – ensuring that learning is embedded into processes, not just analysed. As an external examiner within marine engineering education, I contribute to maintaining consistent technical standards and quality across institutions. I am most effective in roles where governance, HSEQ, and operational performance must be aligned and translated into consistent execution across complex, high-risk environments. Core strengths: Governance & systems | HSEQ & compliance | Quality (GMP, CAPA) | Control of Work (PtW, LOTO) | Incident investigation | Operational implementation | Cross-functional alignment | Standardisation
Advising corporate leadership and project teams on HSE governance, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness across one of Northern Europe’s largest pharmaceutical expansion projects (~€5.8bn), operating in multi-site construction environments with 800–1500 workers/day. Operating at the interface between corporate standards and on-site execution, ensuring that governance frameworks are translated into practical and workable processes across complex construction and commissioning environments. Developing and implementing HSE governance frameworks, including Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) and global safety requirements across a multi-contractor setup. Driving implementation of Control-of-Work systems (ePtW, LOTO) across construction and commissioning, ensuring consistent application in day-to-day operations. Translating regulatory and corporate requirements into operational processes and driving alignment across engineering, construction and operations. Leading incident investigations (TapRooT) and strengthening systemic learning and safety culture through structured root cause analysis and follow-up.
Driving HSE governance across production facilities and large-scale construction projects, ensuring effective risk control and alignment between procedures, systems, and on-site execution from construction through commissioning. Acting as Process Delegate for Control-of-Work systems (ePtW, LOTO), with ownership of governance, standards, and consistent application across operation, projects and contractors in high-risk environments. Ensuring that critical risk controls are embedded in day-to-day operations through structured Control-of-Work processes, supporting safe and reliable execution of complex activities. Driving standardisation and implementation of HSE procedures across production, multi-project and multi-contractor environments, strengthening consistency and operational discipline. Ensuring compliance with corporate HSE management systems and legislative requirements as an integrated part of operational execution. Facilitating cross-site alignment and sharing of best practices to strengthen learning and continuous improvement.
Responsible for Clean and Black Utility work packages, ensuring delivery, technical integrity, and alignment with project, GMP, and corporate engineering standards. Driving FAT/SAT and commissioning, ensuring equipment readiness, documentation quality, and operational acceptance. Implementing Control-of-Work (ePermit-to-Work, eVision) to enable safe and controlled execution during commissioning and start-up. Ensuring readiness for operations through structured commissioning and disciplined construction handover. Operating at the interface between engineering, construction and operations, securing consistent execution across project phases. FAT/SAT | Commissioning | Utilities | Control of Work (ePtW/LOTO) | Process Safety | Construction Handover | GMP
