Until 1953, orphaned children lived in the Reformed Orphanage on Broerenstraat in Zwolle. After that, the orphanage’s assets were transferred to the foundation Het Hervormd Weeshuis Zwolle. This foundation manages the funds the orphanage accumulated over the centuries. Each year, our net proceeds are used in a contemporary way to provide financial support for initiatives in youth and children’s work. Any foundation, association, or individual can submit an application for a project aimed at the youth of Zwolle(my home town).
