I provide customers with elegant and cost-effective designs that meet program-specific requirements. - I create 3D Models and Drawing Packages in CatiaV5 and 3DExperience. - I create and manage BOMs in the Enovia PLM software. - I work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure all requirements (structural, electrical, manufacturing, etc.) are met with my design, all while following company and industry standard work processes. - I quickly iterate my designs if customer feedback requires design updates.
My primary responsibilities at the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship include managing the monthly meetings with the Kentucky Angels, Kentucky's only statewide Angel Investment group, as well as helping to run the Venture Studio Entrepreneurial Bootcamp, a program put on by the Von Allmen Center to help students learn how to become entrepreneurs.
I worked as an Engineering Intern in the bearings department of Ceradyne. The bearings department designed and produced ceramic thrust bearings for use in the oil and gas industry, primarily in SAGD pumps. My primary responsibility involved operating the custom bearing test rig, which could test bearings with a given lubricant at a various speeds, temperatures, and loads. I also assisted with quality and assembly duties, and developed and implemented several improvement processes throughout my internship.
I worked as a tutor for the Tau Beta Pi tutoring program. The program is funded by the College of Engineering and offers free tutoring to students in math and engineering classes.
I worked as an Undergraduate Assistant for the MathExcel program at the University of Kentucky. The program provides students with more practice and individual attention for Calculus I and II.
