Cambridge, England, United Kingdom
I currently work as a Fellow in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation at Royal Papworth Hospital. Prior to this I completed UK Cardiology training with subspecialty training in Heart Failure and Devices. My prior rotations have been at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, and Lister Hospital, Stevenage. I studied at University College London, where I completed both medical school and a PhD in Experimental Medicine as part of the UCL MBPhD programme. I have also undertaken research at the University of Cambridge and in collaboration with the British Olympic Association. During my PhD I was also fortunate to have also been a member of the UCL Centre for Altitude, Space and Experimental Medicine, as an investigator in both Xtreme Alps and Xtreme Everest II expeditions. I have clinical interests in cardiac transplantation, advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac devices. I have also held roles within the British Junior Cardiologist Association, and completed the British Cardiovascular Society Emerging Leaders Programme.
I am an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellow at Royal Papworth Hospital, managing patients with advanced heart failure across the full spectrum of care. My role involves inpatient and outpatient management of patients on mechanical circulatory support, those awaiting transplantation, and post–heart transplant recipients, within one of the UK’s leading national transplant centres.
I am an independent Advanced Life Support Instructor, regularly participating in both ALS and eALS courses in Cambridge and Stevenage UK.
In this role I will be training in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine, with rotations in the East of England until 2024.
