About

I am professor emeritus of English at Joliet Junior College where I taught Creative Writing, Introduction to Film Study, and Introduction to Shakespeare from 1993 to 2022. In addition, I have taught classes in contemporary literature, world literature, British literature, the short story, composition, and developmental writing. My scholarly interests are diaries and journals, Samuel Johnson, and James Boswell. I have been teaching online since 2001. As iCampus Faculty Coordinator (2008-14), I worked with faculty at Joliet Junior College to help them with practical applications and pedagogical issues related to incorporating technology into their classes and teaching online. I have done faculty training in how to teach online and in how to convert existing courses to online classes at Ferrum College and at Colorado State University at Pueblo.
