Ever since I was young, I have embraced the value of hard work and pursued my dreams with unwavering determination. I firmly believe that challenges encountered along the journey serve as stepping stones for personal growth and improvement. With this mindset, I embarked on an educational path that has led me to where I am today. My passion for Chemistry can be traced back to my time at Republic Polytechnic (RP), where I underwent comprehensive training as a Pharmacy Technician. This role exposed me to a wide range of medications utilized in the pharmaceutical industry, deepening my understanding of their effects and side effects. Witnessing the intricate processes involved in pharmaceutical research and the profound impact of medications on patients captivated me. It revealed the boundless potential of Chemistry in advancing healthcare. This realization became the driving force behind my decision to pursue a degree in Chemistry, enabling me to expand my knowledge and skills in this field. Furthermore, my experience as a Pharmacy Technician solidified my understanding of the critical role Chemistry plays in drug discovery and development. It reinforced my determination to contribute to the pharmaceutical industry by leveraging my expertise in Chemistry. The combination of my academic foundation in Pharmaceutical Science and my ongoing pursuit of a degree in Chemistry at NUS empowers me with a unique interdisciplinary perspective. I am driven to explore the intersections between Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science. I hope to expand my knowledge in chemical analysis and explore its practical applications in the field of chemistry and pharmaceutical science.
