I Relocated from the UK to France with my family in August 2021 and I have spent 9 months learning French at the CIREFE school at the l'université Rennes 2. A great experience learning a new language and also getting to meet and study with so many people from different countries and backgrounds, great fun!
Working on and managing projects is something that I have always enjoyed. I moved into my role as a Project Manager for Ibstock when the role was created. It gave me the chance to work with a greater variety of people and the opportunity to manage and learn from multiple complex major capital investment projects. Projects ranged in scope from short term projects with a single contractor (5 - 20 people) too long term complex multiple contractor projects (100+ people, including foreign contractors). Budget responsibilities ranged from £150k to £6.5 million. Successfully delivered projects including mechanical, electrical and kiln upgrades, heavy equipment installation, civil engineering, demolition, building construction, roofing replacement and EV charger installation.
Planned and organised all engineering and maintenance-related activities across the factory. Priority was always to make sure that the work was completed safely and on time. Planned, managed and successfully oversaw the implementation of a wide variety of upgrade projects across the factory. Managed a team of 4 highly skilled maintenance engineers and 1 apprentice and a separate team of 7 multi-skilled production operatives. Monitored and managed the monthly budget spend to stay within annual budgets. Responsible for all Health and Safety within the Production and Engineering teams. Responsible for Contractor control - RAMS review, induction and monitoring whilst on site. Responsible for ensuring that annual production targets were achieved to the highest quality standard - successfully achieved every year.
Responsible for ensuring that all Quality Assurance system management, implementation and testing was carried out correctly and to the required BS EN 771-1 standards. Developed, maintained and updated the factory QA manual to reflect factory procedures in line with company and regulatory standards. Dealt with customer complaints, analysed why complaints had occurred and put in place systems to stop them from reoccurring. Managed the site Technical Assistant and the clamp firing team. Represented the factory at all internal and external audits, zero non-conformities raised between 2007 and 2012. Accountable for overseeing all brick drying and also firing processes. Planned and implemented a clay winning strategy every year with the company Geologist.
First point of contact for existing and potential members. Dealt with all aspects of membership service over the phone, via e-mail and post. Entrusted with money handling, issuing rebates and sensitive personal information.
Analysed large amounts of both quantitative and qualitative data each month on how cabin crew were perceived to be performing across all routes that BA flew. Used data mining tools to analyse the data and identify trends which came from onboard customer feedback questionnaires. Compiled monthly reports for Cabin Crew, Senior Management and Directors on three main performance KPI’s relating to Long-haul Cabin Crew.
