I am currently in year 3 of a 4 year Computer Science integrated masters (Mcomp) course at the University of Sheffield. Additionally I have been working with the Sheffield Student Downhill Design student lead project, taking a role as Telemetry Team Lead for 2024 - 24. Managing the recently expanded telemetry team to develop a new, more robust and refined system with additional goals of live suspension tuning. I am applying to summer internships hoping to gain experience in the It industry. Specifically I have interests in data analysis, IoT, ML algorithms and project management.
Managing a University funded project developing Mountain bike telemetry hardware and software solutions. With an expanding team prototyping electronic live suspension tuning systems For DH and Enduro racing.
Organising multiple annual weekend trips for the cycling society. Including accommodation, food, transport and managing rides for groups of up to 35 people . This has included being the trip health and safety lead. Due to the risks associated with the sport this has frequently required sorting trips to hospital for trip members.
Working the Floor and bar at a local restaurant in between university semesters. Provided invaluable experience working in fast paced customer facing roles as part of a team.
Lifeguarded weekend and early morning shifts for a local performance swim team at a range of pools around the area. Maintaining this qualification required consistent training and competency checks. Position closed due to covid.
