2 Year Programme which provides students with the information and tools to access the career of Law.
Leading role within the school; running student council session with the other year groups on different issues. From this having continual meetings with SLT to decide what it is that we can do to best improve the school. Also attend key public events within the community.
- Discussed legal advice with Barristers over banking contractual disputes. - Crafted a defence for a client in a mock problem solving scenario. - Read over contracts, skeleton arguments and other relevant documents to discuss legal advice. - Developed my advocacy skills through participating in an advocacy workshop with Barristers and pupils.
- Conducted legal research into land Law, and used the knowledge to complete mock contracts and research tasks. - Collaborated with others to research and deliver a presentation on an issue to Solicitors. - Participated in employability workshops.
- Gained an insight into what skills are necessary to succeed as a Solicitor, through engaging in coaching session, enhancing my understanding of a career in law. - Developed my commercial awareness regarding how Law firms operate through listening to a talk given by the Head of Commercial Finance.
