A veteran of the United States Marine Corps and United States Army Reserve for 16 years, William attributes his time in service as having laid a great foundation to set the tone for the rest of his life. He is grateful for the experience. William founded Warriors Haven after succumbing to disabilities preventing him from working. After returning from Iraq, William noticed veterans and their families hardships as they transitioned home from serving overseas. William wanted to do something to effectively advocate for and help his fellow brothers and sisters in arms with a spirit of excellence. Before forming Warriors Haven, William wanted to do something to effectively support and help his fellow brothers and sisters in arms with a heart of goodness. William worked with the Department of Defense and the Department of Veteran Affairs. William came to Charleston, SC, in 2014 after living farther down the coast in Bluffton, South Carolina
