Site-based operations role as Field Operations Representative on the Tyra platform, Danish North Sea. Highly visible, challenging and rewarding offshore role. I am proud to be a part Tyra II, delivering a high-tech strategic gas hub, which achieves increased natural gas production with CO2 emissions savings of up to 30%. Moved into Start-up Lead role, leading all start-up activities. Responsible for re-establishing the gas flow from Harald, Svend, Roar and Valdemar, and the wells from the Tyra field itself (Southeast, West and East). The project is being developed by Danish Underground Consortium (DUC), which is a partnership between TotalEnergies (operator, 43.2%), BlueNord (36.8%), and Nordsøfonden (20%). When fully operational, Tyra will deliver 2.8 billion cubic meters of gas per year, making Denmark again a net exporter and self-sufficient in natural gas.
Planning and execution of production activities to support Campaign of Work across TotalEnergies' assets in the Danish North Sea
OTL, Magnus Platform, Scotland, UK Northern North Sea Management of all operations activities on the platform. Operations Authority for platform with POB of 207. Safely delivered major intervention and drilling campaigns whilst running operational platform.
Site-based process engineering role
As platform reached cessation of production (COP), I moved into the HSE Superintendent role for pipeline & topsides cleaning and final decommissioning. Management, reporting and assurance of all site HSE activities for a circa 200-POB site, ensuring leadership visibility is maintained on site.
Process Safety, Operations Support and Asset Integrity role, based offshore of Denmark on the Tyra East platform. The Tyra platforms are suffering from subsidence and must be safely operated until they can be decommissioned in 2019. This is a challenging and multi-faceted role as part of the platform supervisor team to safely operate, and manage process safety and asset integrity threats for, the ageing facility until COP and subsequently decommission 6 topsides platforms and ancillary equipment and pipelines.
Operations and Techincal Support role on the Tartan Platform, UK North Sea on a 3/3 week rotation. In addition to general operations support as offshore focal point for asset operations, activities include: • Leak test pack approval and isolation scheme development • Process optimisation • Pre-start up and post-breaking of containment integrity confirmation (line-walking, flange break management, permit/isolation review). • Scoping of process modifications and options for debottlenecking • Operating procedure reviews and updates • Delivery of training presentations to operators
Rumaila ▪ Operations engineering support role for Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO), a joint venture between BOC, BP, CNPC and SOMO (through Petrofac Emirates) ▪Plant monitoring and providing operating guidelines and training of local engineers and operators for plant optimisation and engineering practices ▪Various successes, in a short duration, including: • Risk-ranking of circa 200 vessels to prioritise business-case spending on plant safety improvements • Opportunity identification and design of a condensate recovery facility to recoup 1,000 barrels per day of export-grade oil to increase site revenues by over $14million USD per annum with payback period of 3 weeks Apache Beryls and Centrica / EnQuest Kittiwake Contract • Job-responsible process engineer for various projects, primarily brownfield projects within the oil and gas sector. • Management experience gained from promotion to senior process engineer on the Kittiwake modifications contract, managing a small team of engineers and budgets. • Decommissioning experience gained from MP Compressor Decommissioning on Beryls.
