About

Expertise in an IS Corporate Environment for 30 years, 22 with UPS. Worked with mainframe systems early in my career, specifically COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL. This was followed by working in a midrange environment with a concentration on configuration/customization of third party software including Siebel and PeopleSoft. Most of my UPS career has been in a Lead & Managerial capacity. Significant projects that have I lead/managed are the eTT Tracking application and the Enterprise Contact Management (ECM) messaging and concerns application, both mission critical. Currently, I am managing 10 separate and distinct applications. I have managed teams of up to 20 members including UPSers, and the following consultant types: Supplemental Staff, Time & Materials, Fixed Price , Global Development, both on and off shore. My Strengths include the ability to lead large new development and maintenance projects, good organizational skills, good verbal and written communication skills. I manage my teams with strength and fairness. During my career, I evolved from Application Developer to a Lead Application Developer. Moved into Management as a Project Leader and Application Development Manager. In my pre-IS life I worked for Westwood Rare Coin Gallery in NJ for 15 years. There I worked with Rare Coins, precious metals and diamonds. After I graduated college I was promoted to Vice President.
