William Horgan is a Partner at Grimshaw. He joined the practice in London in 1995, and in 2003 moved to New York City, from where he has led the design of some of the firm’s most innovative and award-winning projects. William brings conceptual clarity and sustainable design focus to his work, and he is currently leading efforts in Grimshaw’s push towards decarbonization and regenerative design. Notable international project experience includes Berlin Stock Exchange, Manchester International Airport T1, the UK’s highly renowned Eden Project, and the Ecorium national ecology center in South Korea. North American projects include Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; the Frost Museum of Science in Miami, FL; Horno#3 Museo del Acero in Monterrey, Mexico; and most recently Arizona State University’s Walton Center for Planetary Health in Tempe, AZ. Current projects include a 200,000m2 net-zero clean tech R&D campus in KSA, and a research lab at University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center for large scale bio-based 3d printing.
