Working across the store as a retail sales assistant, currently training to step into a Duty Manager role. Day to day, I serve customers and provide product recommendations across wine, beer and spirits, operate the till and handle transactions and returns, restock shelves, rotate stock and maintain store presentation. I resolve customer issues through clear communication and judgement, and maintain RSA and WHS compliance on every shift. In addition to my sales assistant duties, I am training in Duty Manager responsibilities including run sheets, closing procedures and team supervision.
Founded and ran a garden maintenance business while studying, working with residential clients across Melbourne. I quoted, scheduled and delivered jobs end to end, built strong client relationships that drove repeat work and referrals, and managed risks across weather, scope and equipment. I sourced materials, tools, and ran all bookings, finances and client communication.
Sub-contracted labourer across multiple construction and landscaping sites. I supported trades with materials movement, equipment and general site work, often across changing sites and priorities with limited briefing. I took initiative on logistics challenges as they came up and followed WHS practices throughout, including hazard awareness and safe handling of materials and equipment.
Planned and executed a road trip with friends along the East Coast of Australia. Was a great opportunity for me to take some time away from work and take the responsibility to manage my day-to-day financials, travel plans and assess my goals moving forward. This break was a great opportunity for me to gain independence and responsibility also contributing to the confidence I have now in taking on new opportunities.
