-My duties comprise of managing the Litigation Department, Training article clerks, drafting of commercial and non-commercial agreements, drafting of pleadings and notices, responsible for generating income for the litigation department and handling of criminal and civil trials, management of RAF matters, as well as all commercial matters. -Magistrate’s Court Practices -High Court Practices -Commercial Litigation -Commercial Law / Corporate Law matters -Family law matters -Civil law matters -Criminal law matters -Labour law matters -Chair Disciplinary Hearing -Defend decisions at CCMA and Bargaining Council -Advise clients on Terms and Conditions of Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health & Safety Legislation -Revise Policies, Employment Agreements -Trusts- & Company Law matters -Third Party Claims / Motor Vehicle Accident Claims (on behalf of Plaintiff) -Insurance Law matters (Asset insurance and business interruption, casualty and liability, public liability, -Consumer Protection Law matters -Debt Review -Management of Litigation Department -Client liaison (correspondence, consultation etc.) -Legal Research -Court attendances (representing clients, hearings, legal actions, motions etc.) -Preparation of evidence and court documents -Retrenchment-, redundancy- & rationalisation procedures -Disciplinary procedures within the workplace -Representation at CCMA, Bargain Councils, Labour Court & Labour Appeal Court -Debt Collection -Contact debtors and inform them of debts -Liaise with debtors, clients, process servers and solicitors -Provide information on debts -Locate debtors and convey demand for payment -Put settlement proposal or alternative payment arrangement to debtors -Compile settlement proposal or alternative payment arrangement to debtor -Collections on behalf of businesses -Negotiating repayment plans -Ensure that all special conditions in the contract are fulfilled before settlement takes place
