Wim de Gelder works in the IT business since 1990. He has a wide experience in design, development, implementation and administration of software for purposes like accounting, billing, incentives/commissions and logistics. He has international experience both in Europe and the Americas. Wim de Gelder has a profound experience in programming (both traditional programming languages and languages of the latest generation). He has worked as leader of a team of five analysts for the implementation and administration of the ledger systems of IBM (CLS-FDW), giving support to all Latin America. He also worked as leader of a team of three analysts for the development of the world wide strategic accounting reconciliation tool of IBM (ARMS). Subsequently he worked as a team leader within the world wide FMS deployment team in IBM leading a team of four analysts, managing all in- and outbound feeders of FMS from a world wide perspective. He has experience in planning and project management. Currently, Wim de Gelder is working as a consultant for software on IBM Mainframe platform, serving several important customers of IBM in- and outside Peru.
Working as a technical sales consultant for Analytics Software on z/OS platform. Engaging customers, explaining and showing them the unique benefits of IBM's Analytics Software on the mainframe, the most solid, stable and trustworthy computing platform the market has to offer. I do this, using Proofs of Concept (PoC's), Proofs of Technology (PoT's) and demos. I serve our z/OS customers in our SSA (Spanish South America) region, basically all Latin-America minus Mexico and Brazil.
Working as a software consultant within the Software Group of IBM Peru with focus on Information Management on Mainframe platform (mainly DB2). Working with several of the most important customers of IBM, both in Peru and the rest of Latin America.
- Leader of a team of three analysts - Managing all in- and outbound feeders of FMS (the IBM WW strategic commissions and incentives system) - Owning the relationship with all source systems for feeder data - Owning all Documents Of Understanding with the feeder source systems.
- Functional analysis and collection of user requirements for a system of financial reconciliations. Responsible for user support and documentation as well. Direct contact with responsible users world wide (Latin America North America, Australia and Europe). Installation of the application in several service delivery centers on the globe. - Development and support for an application for order processing and distribution. - Team leader for the support of the ledger system for all Latin America. Direct contact and coordination with users all over Latin America and the responsible management in the USA.
Started as a trainee programmer, up to the role of senior systems constructor. Analysis of requirements, design and programming a wide range of applications in the fields of distribution and logistics, public finance and accounting.
