NPSP distinguishes itself in the rapidly growing market for composites by her use of natural materials. In addition to the great environmental advantages, these materials with high mechanical properties at low weight show particulair advantages for many applications. NPSP brings her biobased composites to market under the name Nabasco®. NPSP produces durable, fiber reinforced biocomposite products for construction, design, mobility and industry. NPSP is a knowledge intensive production company with a wide range of activities in the field of R & D and business development. Together with its clients NPSP realizes surprisingly beautiful solutions to technical issues. Aesthetic, technical and durable. NPSP was founded in 2004, has since seen large (international) customers such as Albert Heijn, BAM, G-Star, ANWB, NedTrain and Pastoe. In 2011 NPSP won the gold Excellent Enterprise Award from the Dutch Rubber and Plastic industry. NPSP is one of the successful representatives of the Bio-Based Economy. In recent years NPSP has developed a solid foundation for sustainable and beautiful productions with focus on composite products for Construction, Industry, Mobility and Design. Many things are possible and through our years of experience our engineers are able to make complex issues into realizable solutions and products, in a short time.
Research Group (lectorate) Biobased Buidling performs practical research in collaboration with companies, governments, researchers and students. It focusses not only on the environmental benefits of these materials, but especially on the extra added value added. Biobased materials generally have good mechanical properties like light weight, good insulation properties, good sound and vibration damping, good moisture regulation, good anti-bacterial properties and authentic appearance. So is the lectorate testing the sound absorbing, anti-bacterial and thermo-hygrical properties of all kinds of new biobased materials, designing, building and monitoring real-scale demonstration projects such as worlds first biocomposite bridge and a biobased living lab experience house in Zeeland. Next to this companies are guided in their search for more environmentally friendly materials. The knowledge derived from the research ultimately contributes to a CO2-neutral, energy-neutral and, above all, material-neutral society.
