Software Developer with prior experience in operations. I enjoy bridging the gap between business and technology, working in agile environments, and being a part of high growth companies. Most proficient with TypeScript, React, Node, PostgreSQL, Jest, and deploying to GCP. Also proficient with GKE, Python, AWS s3 & ec2, and terraform.
In this hands-on role, I lead a team of 3 developers building full stack applications in Node.js to enhance our storefront presence. Highlights (so far) include: leading an infrastructure migration, solidifying development best-practices, identifying and prioritizing high-value work to be done, leading a modernization project for a public-facing application, and leading a consolidation project that has 66% percent cost savings for one of our services.
As an educator for the Part-Time, remote Web Development program I help students learn real world skills in the field of modern Web Development.
Deeptree focused on improving the web development tool-chain, through minimal latency web applications and integrations. My role was to build a rich experience for our users When building Cadence, our team used React, Node, and PostgreSQL to create a single page application that managed multiple team's tasks. When building CadenceBot, we used django and leveraged the Slack API to build a SlackBot that managed code reviews for development teams directly in Slack.
As the Data Services Manager, it was my responsibility to scale up Operations in response to a record breaking year. This meant building out responsibilities that previously did not exist; creating a more robust operational workflow; creating a web-based, real-time dashboard; forecasting requirements and communicating with external vendors; and empowering the Data Services team to meet their goals.
As one of the Deployments Coordinators, I had the responsibility of overseeing the installation and operation of the first version of Miovision's Intelligent Transportation System. Installations occurred in multiple cities, and the information gathered during these critical first phases fueled a re-design of the product. This product would become Miovision's current offering, Spectrum. After pivoting away from the ITS line, I was focused on improving Operations for our portable product line, Scout.
