The overarching goal for the role was to start transforming the function from one that relies heavily on data processes and administration to one that is prioritising customer service, harnessing the use of digital technologies, creating centralised teams and processes to ignite the improvements.
The role is focused on change management within the Detection New Product Introduction Process and is accountable for the delivery of the Sourcing and Supply Chain requirements in all new products and engineering change. In collaborating with Technology, the role is an important driver of the successful commercialisation of new products, delivering standardisation and reduction in the complexity of Supply Chains.
Introducing Inventory Planning and Inventory Management processes to the Motorcycles division in Europe with the goal to reduce total inventories in Europe.
This role provided a critical link managing the supply of motorcycles from Honda’s two largest factories producing motorcycles for Europe in Italy and Japan, to ensure supply of motorcycles to Honda’s European markets.
As part of a year's placement I worked for Renault UK, in the Distribution Department of their UK Head Office. As the Supply Planning Assistant I reported to the Supply Planning Manager and assisted with day-to-day activities.
