  • FranklinCovey (Full-time · 5 yrs)
    • EVP Product
      Jun 2022 - Mar 2026 · 3 yrs 10 mos

After launching the Impact Platform to FC's 1500+ customers, I was promoted to EVP of Product, reporting to the CEO and sitting on the executive team. In this role I oversaw both content development (insights & research, assessments, learning experience design, visual design, project management) and technology (product management, product ops, design, data, QA and engineering). Keeping costs flat, our team doubled the historic pace of solution development, launching flagship solutions (Leading & Working at the Speed of Trust, Change Management, Inclusive Leadership, Helping Clients Succeed, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Writing for Results, Disrupt Everything, Leading & Working with AI) in multiple-modalities, as well as 80+ skill-specific microcourses and 100s of microlearning activities and tools. Our average solution NPS is 70+ and our new solutions average 15% higher than previous ones. We've also moved from tech laggard to leader, launching extensive new functionality to our Impact and Admin Platforms, native Android & iOS apps, extensive HRIS & LMS integrations, and an AI Coach, all across 40+ markets in 25+ languages. The client & learner NPS for our software is >50 and engagement is up >100% since Impact Platform launch in 2022. In this role, I also created and lead FC's AI Lab, a x-functional team that leverages AI to both improve internal effectiveness and efficiency and our client/learner-facing products.

    • Interim CMO
      Dec 2023 - May 2025 · 1 yr 6 mos

After an unsuccessful exec search for a CMO, I took over as interim CMO for a year+ before we ultimately hired a full-time CMO.

    • VP of Product & Technology
      Apr 2021 - Jun 2022 · 1 yr 3 mos

My startup, Strive, was acquired by FranklinCovey, the world's largest leadership company (1,000+ employees, $250MM+ revenue, 1500+ clients & 1.5MM+ learners across 40+ countries). At the time, FranklinCovey primarily offered live, facilitated learning experiences and had a constellation of digital learning experiences/apps built by external dev shops (the co had only four engineers). FC acquired Strive mid-COVID to centralize their digital strategy and development, substantially increasing the quantity and quality of digital learning capabilities. Within three months of the acquisition I was promoted to lead all of FC's enterprise software efforts, overseeing product management, product ops, engineering, design, data, QA and external agency relationships. During our first year post-acquisition, we re-branded Strive's learning platform as the FranklinCovey Impact Platform, added key functionality, localized to 25+ languages, and upgraded to enterprise-level security and scalability, ultimately bringing >1,000 clients to the Impact Platform within three months of our re-launch.

  • Founder & CEO (acq by FranklinCovey) at Strive
    Feb 2017 - Apr 2021 · 4 yrs 3 mos

Strive helps companies build high performing, engaged, and retained teams with personalized and practical management training and leadership development.  Strive's approach is like Noom or Omada Health for learning, combining coaching, community, accountability and analytics to drive behavior change that works and lasts. Strive is used by established enterprises (Pinterest, Intuit, Slack, Airbnb), growth-stage scaleups (Chime, Confluent, Scopely) and high-growth startups (Remind, Handshake, Daily Harvest). 90% of participants say they would be disappointed if they could no longer learn through Strive, the average participant improves 10% on key leadership skills and buyer NPS is higher than Wharton and Harvard Exec Ed. In April 2021, Strive was acquired by FranklinCovey, the world's largest leadership company with >$250MM in revenue and >1,500 clients globally.
