Responsible for supervising the gym floor at Exeter City Council's Leisure Centre sites, carrying out duties including: delivering member inductions and gym tours, writing member training programmes, maintaining gym tidiness and cleanliness, and acting as a supportive presence in the gym environment.
A role I was elected to by members of the club within an AGM format. Responsible for managing the University of Exeter Amateur Boxing Club, one of the largest university boxing clubs in the UK with over 300 members. Coordinating weekly training schedules and student coaches, and liaising with the Athletics Union and our affiliated club, Exmouth ABC. I oversaw the club's first, inter-university varsity fight night licensed by England Boxing, and was integral to two years of EUABC's charity initiatives, including personally raising over £700 for the MOVEMBER Foundation.
Assuming a coaching and leadership role for beginner and intermediate athletes. Assisting the club captain with both social and administrative roles, including acting as a point of liaison between the student body and the Athletics Union.
Writing the now published ‘The Year You Were Born’, and the ‘How Times Have Changed’ book series’. Requiring creative agency and time management to meet deadlines alongside University work. Assuming an editorial role for contracted writers including sourcing, coaching and editing junior writers’ work.
Responsible for assisting the head men’s coach in the training of crews for performance goals, alongside assisting in administrative work.
Responsible for helping coordinate campsite and parking provisions for major events and festivals including Goodwood Festival of Speed
