Design Draftsman / Engineering Technician with 35 years' experience in the Automotive Industry. Coming from a Trade/Technical background and served a 4-year apprenticeship in Fitting and Machining. Along the way, gaining experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to general machine shop practice, press tools, aluminum & cast iron castings and small to medium scale manufacturing techniques. Skills include the ability to employ CAD concepts and methodology to develop designs as well as understanding and implementing key PDM concepts relating to the management of CAD data, implementing change management processes. As well as industry-based CAD Experience in Pro/Engineer, SOLIDWORKS', UGNX(Unigraphics) & CATIA Shown below are some Typical Projects I have been involved with. Supporting Queensland's growing fleet of passenger, freight and track service vehicles. Working on projects within the Rail Rolling Stock and Light Rail operations on both refurbishment and new build projects. Supporting the RSAW on the Tram refurbishment project extending the life of Victoria's wide range of light rail vehicles.
