He was responsible for the implementation of Exchange 2010 and the migration of Exchange 2007 to the new platform. Wilfried also participated in a project that conducted a feasibility study of moving to Office 365. Current assignment is to design, implement and migrate the OCS 2007 R2 environment to Lync 2010.
He was responsible for solving technical problems related to Lync that stood the pilot rollout in the way. Wilfried has ensured that the Lync infrastructure can coexist seamlessly with the existing OCS 2007 R2 infrastructure. Supported by a test consultant a comprehensive test plan was created and executed in which all possible combinations of Lync and OCS clients are included. He also ensured that the DSM pilot can use Lync IP Phones. The challenge here was to configure the ISC DHCP server in such a way that it provides the Lync IP Phone the proper DHCP option set. Wilfried has investigated the possibility of excluding traffic (audio, video, conferencing) from the VPN tunnel generated by the Lync client and redirect the traffic to the Lync infrastructure.
He was responsible for the design of the messaging environment based upon MS Exchange 2010. Besides that Wilfried also worked on the upgrade of the OCS 2007 R2 platform towards the new collaboration platform based upon Lync 2010. Here he was responsible for the design of the architecture of the Lync 2010 platform.
