As the Finance Director for Silesia Flavors Global, my role extends beyond traditional finance to embrace the challenges of integrating systems and cultures across our global subsidiaries. My expertise in international accounting and ERP implementations, particularly SAP and LucaNet, has empowered our teams to achieve strategic alignment and operational excellence. Integrating systems and people; the roll-out of corporate rules and strategy into the global subsidiaries is a key element to success. At the same time local rules and cultures have to be applied and corporate rules and strategy must be aligned with local culture. This is certainly a leadership challenge that is not limited to the finance arena but goes far beyond into other functions and strategic implementation. I have successfully been supporting the integration management of the newly established subsidiaries in many countries around the world. Generating appropriate financial data, integrating a local and global view in finance and translating the data into actionable information for stakeholders makes the finance function a valuable resource in the organization. In addition to my role as Finance Director I am • Implementing sustainability reporting following CSRD guidelines at Silesia Flavors Global. • Integrating sustainability efforts into accounting and controlling processes to drive organizational impact and corporate strategy • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure alignment with sustainability goals
The implementation of SAP FI and CO in the global subsidiaries and training of local staff taught me the basics and essentials of the business of Silesia. I also had the chance to learn local rules and customs and apply this knowledge to moderate between German headquarter and subsidiaries. This intercultural skill set is an important part in my ambition to support the global expansion of Silesia by establishing local entities and offices worldwide. Other tasks I have been and are still working on are: - Operational Group Controlling for subsidiaries in Asia and Europe, including preparing budgets for the subsidiaries - IFRS conversion and group consolidation - Implementation of LucaNet as consolidation software - SAP Key User for modules FI and CO and global roll-out and training of local staff in subsidiaries - Set up of subsidiaries and rep offices in various regions (Ukraine/ Colombia/ Turkey/ Indonesia/ Vietnam/ Philippines/ Malaysia)
