I joined MyFitnessPal as a Software Engineer on a Platform team leading up to the acquisition of MyFitnessPal by Under Armour. Within the first three months at MyFitnessPal I replaced the entire search architecture with Elasticsearch ranking and relevance solution. Six months later launched a company wide Kafka platform and data pipeline. Three months after that launched a complete engagement platform for all user messaging (email/sms/push) including CMS, privacy and analytics. Was a technical adviser and product manager to proto-type agile application team. I continued on this path executing post acquisition on multi-application initiatives building out and growing the Platform team for UACF. I was lead on a platform team. Head of the social connected strategy across all of UACF applications on Platform Engineering. I co-chaired our Engineering Leadership group responsible for standards, interviewing, culture, and best practices.
