At Hopper, I significantly contribute to the Hotels vertical by improving hotel availability searches, bookings, content integration, and pricing. My work involves conducting experiments to evaluate the effects of changes on customer impact, conversion, and revenue. Additionally, I serve on the primary on-call engineer for a 10-million MAU business unit , resolving critical issues in real-time, as well as the secondary on-call for my team, providing expert guidance on our services. Our technology stack includes Scala, Specs2, gRPC, and protobuf, and we leverage GCP services such as Memorystore for Redis, GKE for Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Spanner, and GCS among others.
Labradoor is a data management platform that empowers scientists to do their own bioinformatics. We want to sever the scientist's reliance on bioinformaticians to manage their data or the need to learn scripting in order to get their data ready for actual research. At Labradoor we are building tools to improve the management, searchability, shareability, and computation of bioinformatics data. At Labradoor I serve as CEO and a technical co-founder. I handle the overall direction of the company as well as the technical design and implementation of Labradoor. This includes managing contractors, meeting with clients, gathering feedback, and working with the executive team to come up with an overall strategy.
