Consultant Psychiatrist | Expert in Child, Adolescent & Forensic Psychiatry | Mental Health Policy, Social Protection & Rehabilitation Leader | 25+ Years Multinational Experience Summary: I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 25 years of multinational experience across Egypt and Qatar, combining advanced clinical psychiatry with senior leadership roles in mental health policy, child protection, family welfare, and social rehabilitation. My work spans forensic psychiatric assessment, child and adolescent mental health, trauma, abuse cases, family therapy, addiction, and crisis intervention, supported by an MD, MSc, and extensive postgraduate training. Since 2022, I have served as Consultant Psychiatrist at the Minister’s Office, Ministry of Social Affairs & Family, Qatar, where I also act as Medical Director and Head of the Psychosocial & Medical Team at the national orphanage centre. I oversee the medical response for Gaza refugees, lead clinical services for women and child protection centres, and contribute to national social-welfare strategies and business plans across multiple Qatar Foundation entities. My responsibilities include developing policies and procedures, designing mental-health programmes, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-governance standards across shelters, rehabilitation units, and social-protection institutions. In 2025, I was additionally appointed as Consultant Psychiatrist to the Office of Child Affairs, Execution Court – Supreme Judicial Council, conducting forensic evaluations, child-welfare assessments, family-court psychiatric reporting, and providing expert testimony to support judicial decision-making. I assess parental competency, child mental status, trauma impact, and family dynamics, offering evidence-based recommendations for custody, protection, and treatment plans. Across earlier roles—including more than a decade at Aman Protection & Social Rehabilitation Centre—I have led medical services units, supervised multidisciplinary teams, created national mental-health protocols, delivered public and professional training, and contributed to the country’s mental health strategy, child protection mechanisms, and community education initiatives. My long-standing clinical background also includes years of hospital-based psychiatry and neurology work at Kasr El Maady Mental Hospital and Tanta University Hospitals.
