Wenjie is a tax professional in Deloitte Singapore, and specializes in business, M&A and international tax. He holds a varied portfolio of corporate tax clients including those from the tech, retail, oil and gas, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. He regularly advises clients on cross border tax issues, BEPS, corporate restructuring, M&A transactions and in-country tax audits. He is currently also an adjunct lecturer at Singapore Management University for > 7 years. He teaches both the basic and advanced tax modules at the undergrad level. He has won both the SMU and School of Accountancy Most Outstanding Adjunct award in 2023 and the SOA Dean’s list for teaching excellence award in 2022, 2024 and 2025. He holds a Masters of Law (International Tax) with Distinction from King’s College London and has double degrees in business and accountancy (with highest distinction) from Singapore Management University. He is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore. He has also cleared all papers and the extended essay option under the 'Advanced Diploma of International Tax' by the UK Chartered Institution of Taxation and currently holds the "ADIT" international tax designation. He is a Accredited Tax Advisor and has also obtained 2 book prizes, each in Corporate Tax (Law & Practice) and International Tax Planning, in the Advanced Tax Program under the Tax Academy of Singapore. Up till 2025, he was the examiner for the Tax paper under the CA designation professional programme. Outside of work, he enjoys coffee, traveling and music.
