Hello there! I'm Chin Sheng, a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate from Universiti Malaya. My penchant for continuous learning has led me on an exciting journey to delve into the dynamic world of human resources. My fervour lies in HR, with a keen interest in talent acquisition, employer branding, campus engagement, and a newfound fascination for compensation and benefits. After completing my internship in recruitment, I'm currently part of the Eastern Hemisphere Compensation Services Team at SLB (formerly Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfield services company) to further develop myself.   HR Practices: Compensation & Benefits  HR Planning: Recruiting Prior to these, I undertook two voluntary internships encompassing logistics, administration, business development, and HR within SME and startup environments.       Reporting to: Asia Compensation Lead Countries: EAG (Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar & Philippines) and KL Hubs Types of Packages: New hires, re-hires, contractor to employee hires, job data changes, changes in salary, in-country transfers, and international transfers • Prepare compensation packages and assignment letters (Letters of Offer, Letters of Assignment & Details of Assignment) using ePCX, PeopleConnect (SAP SuccessFactors), ESM (ServiceNow), and People Management, in accordance with C&B KPOs and metrics • Extract data from the compensation performance dashboard in Microsoft Power BI and gather relevant data for package analysis • Design, review, and provide Assignment Change Notification (ACN) and Net to Net (N2N) / Gross to Net (G2N) calculations for the population • Utilise SL Treasury (for currency exchange rates), SAP HR PH1 (for HR master data), and RPS (for employee level YTD reports) selectively to optimise detail accuracy • Liaise with requesters (members of the HR community, i.e., Recruiter, HR Representative, HR Business Partner, Recruiting Manager & HR Manager) for compensation-related matters • Engage in discussions with Compensation Value Expert for expert domain knowledge on compensation policies and market data • Understand the global and country-specific HR and C&B standards to ensure compensation complies with SLB Corporate Compensation principles, policies, and guidelines • Participate in the implementation of compensation initiatives and projects as required: Market Salary Adjustment (MSA), Performance Reward (PR), and Salary Structures On-Line (SSOL) Audit • Performance & PeopleConnect Processes (PPCP) Champion: Track EH Comp performance metrics, provide overdue package request updates through weekly ticket reminder emails, and work closely with the Compensation Digital & Performance Team to optimise resource utilisation, continuous improvement, and training delivery on tools and automation projects
