As a Systems Engineer at Airbus Robotics, I am desiging and programming the drilling and fastening robots that build airplanes! My experience at Perellion, was in designing and building of electrical and control systems that range from robotics, automation, manufacturing, and more. As a Professional Intern at The Walt Disney Company, I applied my passion and expertise in control systems engineering to create and maintain innovative and immersive attractions for millions of guests. I have successfully diagnosed and resolved animatronic figure downtime issues, created a comprehensive python-based script for controlling an animatronic figure’s motor and pneumatic functions, designed and tested a category 3 safety control system, and streamlined the deployment system for high energy attractions using Chef automation tools. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, where I also participated in a study abroad program at the University of Surrey in the UK. I enhanced my interpersonal skills and professional development by facilitating and leading various programs and trips for students and professional groups as a Facilitator and Adventure Trip Leader at UCF. I am eager to learn new technologies and skills, and to collaborate with diverse and talented teams to deliver exceptional results and experiences. I am motivated by the opportunity to use my electrical engineering skills to create positive and lasting impacts in the world.
- Designing and building electrical control enclosures for automation projects that meet NFPA 79 and UL508A standards - Hands on troubleshooting and assembly work for electrical enclosures that we designed.
- Designed and iteratively revised wiring schematics in AutoCAD Electrical for a PLC enclosure, overseeing multiple revisions to ensure accuracy and functionality - Took a hands-on approach by personally wiring and installing the PLC enclosure based on the finalized schematics, ensuring seamless integration into the system - Developed and tested a category 3 safety control system utilizing Beckhoff Safety PLC, TwinSAFE I/O modules, and integrated it into animatronic control software - Created documentation for maintenance specifications and safe operation, ensuring compliance with UL508A, NFPA 79, and Disney standards during equipment installation - Optimized software deployment system for high-energy attractions, reducing deployment time by two hours through the implementation of Chef automation tools and a robust CI/CD pipeline within GitLab - Conducted testing, and adjusted tolerances and timings as necessary to optimize system functionality and ensure alignment with project requirements, before finalizing validation with Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) - Resolved animatronic figure downtimes ranging from electrical, mechanical, and software issues - Illustrated my project's influence on operational efficiencies and guest experience, emphasizing notable accomplishments and organizational benefits, during a presentation to Disney executives
- Facilitated 30+ programs for students and professional groups from 8 to 100 people, designed to reach their professional development goals of community building, problem solving, and conflict resolution. - Promoted to Head Facilitator positions after two semesters, which includes responsibilities such as risk management, program planning, and managing a team of my peers. - Lead different groups of 12-25 students on 4-5 trips per semester ranging from kayaking, backpacking, and mountain biking. - Coordinated with the university, professional staff, and team of other leaders to organize budget, route, and risk management of trips.
- Generated reports using principles of root cause analysis to drive changes to improve system-wide performance. - Collaborated with field technicians remotely to identify root cause of turbine downtime and provide solutions to return downed turbines to service. - Developed tool to validate turbine software revision reducing validation time by 50% and ensuring optimal performance for utility customers.
