A member of the global DC-EHS team , responsible for mega campuses (multi building/ multi locations) Data Centre Construction projects , working directly with PMCs, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades & organizations, key integrators, fabricators, and commissioning agents to improve EHS performance on hyperscale data centre construction projects. Taking ownership of the EHS program for data centre construction projects in the UK, Ireland,Belgium, Germany and Austria, providing updates to key Google stakeholders. Responsible for identifying and mitigating environmental and safety risks at construction sites, as well as the transition from design to construction to operational activities. Managing construction quality processes with general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades, and commissioning agents. Supporting the business in pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors, updating the project manual, communicating quality standards , project planning/tracking, risk mitigation and on-time project delivery Serving as an interface to the process excellence and information technology teams establishing data feeds, fashioning metrics, and capturing lessons learned to help the organization scale efficiently.
Supporting the global EHS construction team in developing, reviewing and executing global programs and initiatives, and ensuing compliance through project reviews and auditing Monitor and advise on Google EHS requirements and applicable EHS references and regulatory requirements Act as the SME and advise the construction team in identification and implementation of corrective actions for identified deficiencies or issues. Interface and support the construction management team by delivering current, accurate and timely data on Contractor EHS performance Reporting data on Leading and Lagging Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), trends, incident management, environmental monitoring, EHS metrics and other key information Evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of Contractor’s safety controls, hazard assessments (RAMS, JHAs, ARTs, PTPs) Review of EHS Related documents such as CEHSP, Emergency Management plan, RAMS, Safety Procedures, and support effective implementation and training
