Spearheaded & co-authored the book Blues for Dummies along with my father Lonnie Brooks and my dear late friend Cub Koda. On the day of conception I was in Muddy Waters childhood house at the Chicago Blues Festival 1996 when I thought I should write a book about blues music. I thought more people should know about Muddy Waters not just blues lovers. They shouldn't have to uproot & move Muddy's house, no one would ever uproot Elvis' house. All Americans should be educated enough to want to go see Muddy's house. The next day I joked & said "I'm going to write Blues for Dummies" everybody laughed. It was written in 1997, published in 1998, and translated into several languages including German, Italian, Dutch.
