Warren van Niekerk holds an MSc Agric (Horticulture) from the University of Natal, South Africa. Warren has been consulting in the agribusiness/farm planning and rural development field since 2001 and has first-hand knowledge of the production and marketing of a range of agricultural crops. Warren has many years of experience as an owner of a variety of agriculturally based businesses and so understands the commercial aspects of these businesses in relation to production, marketing and distribution realities intricately. He provides solutions to both large-scale commercial agriculture as well as small-scale subsistence farmers. Warren has also worked extensively in the related fields of enterprise development and value chain studies as are usually required in establishing businesses, and has on occasion been called on to perform some management consulting in agriculturally based businesses that required restructuring.
