My work is divided into two key areas: As an Assistant Professor and the Director of Student Affairs & Inclusive Excellence, I oversee student life and teach within Duke OTD's Formation for Service series. My goal is to foster an environment where aspiring OT practitioners can thrive. My teaching and administrative philosophy is shaped by disability ethics, conflict transformation, and the emerging role of AI in work and society. As a researcher, I study American history, specifically that of Black Lutheranism and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). My scholarship examines narratives of resilience and innovation, themes that resonate deeply with how I teach professional and ethical formation.
