I was a technical trainee who worked with the City of Toronto - Toronto Water for over a year. I was responsible for developing and updating over 1000 technical drawings, including P&ID (process schematics), RPUs (remote processing unit), SCADA architecture, PCNs (process control narratives), and wiring diagrams. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to conduct site visits across the City's water and wastewater treatment plants. I assisted in field investigations and validated technical drawings using AutoCAD, iFix, Proficy Machine, Excel, and SCADA. I collaborated with project management, consultants, contractors, and IT specialists when addressing requirements for upcoming projects and edited design revisions to enhance the flow of the process control system.
I am responsible for planning and carrying out monthly social events for the engineering students at TMU. I collaborate with other team members of ChemU for budgeting, cost approval for social events, venue booking, and advertising those said events. Furthermore, I record meeting minutes of bi-weekly meetings with the Executive Committee of ChemU.
I was a supervisor that helped children under the age of 12 years old with technical hardware problems like fixing motors and rotational axials in Lego structures. A main skill I learned from my co op is leading a class of children and being authoritative when needed. I assisted in arranging multiple events like scavenger hunt and movie night.
