I've spent sixteen years doing one thing exceptionally well: walking into places where research wasn't happening and making it happen. Four world regions. The Gulf, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia, with academic engagement in North America. Universities where faculty had never published in an indexed journal. Departments with no doctoral pipeline. No research strategy on paper, let alone in practice. That's where I do my best work. Not maintaining systems. Wiring them from scratch, then watching them run without me. Two PhDs. One in Physiotherapy, one in Health Professions Education. 200+ peer-reviewed papers. Four patents. An h-index of 24 and 1,900+ citations. Not because I chased numbers, but because I solved problems worth writing about. I built PhyCARE, the first reporting guideline for physiotherapy practice, from a blank page to a 19-country expert consensus, published in BMJ Open and listed on the EQUATOR Network. That project reinforced what I already believed: the best work crosses borders, and the right collaborators don’t wait to be invited. I've been Vice Dean, Associate Director of Research, Head of Department. I've delivered 50+ keynotes and trained over 1,000 health professionals globally. I'm a FAIMER Fellow. But titles don't build systems. People do. And the consistent outcome has been this: research culture shifts after I arrive. Right now, my work sits at the intersection of AI, digital health, and clinical education — examining how these forces reshape what we teach, how we practice, and what we accept as evidence. If you're looking for someone who builds systems, not just advises on them, I'm open to conversations.
