Current Assignment: Transit Security Communications Dispatcher for VTA Transit Security - VTA Protective Services ensures the safety and security of patrons, employees, vehicles, and properties of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. Assignments include mobile patrol, transit vehicle on-board patrol, fare inspection, and fixed transit center positions. ProtServ responds to routine and emergency transit-related calls for service within the 346-square-mile special district across 15 municipalities. The response area contains a highly diverse population of nearly 2 million people. The department also provides security services for VTA-owned Milpitas and Berryessa BART Transit Centers, including associated temporary and permanent infrastructure for the BART extension to Santa Clara.
Staffing the incident command post at San Francisco Pride events to ensure safe and stress-free festivities for patrons and employees of the fair and parade routes. Staffing unified command post at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. Utilizes TAK and CAD interfaces while coordinating with San Francisco DEM dispatchers, SFPD, SFFD, and SFPW personnel utilizing regional P25 radio infrastructure. Responsible for dispatching EMS crews to the festival, parade, and 911 calls for service within the event EOA.

Staffing the civilian security division of the Stanford Department of Public Safety by performing various critical functions: Patrolling designated university areas on foot to identify and resolve suspicious and illegal behavior, resolve safety hazards, and secure campus facilities. Maintaining familiarity with an 8,000-acre campus to provide directions, information, and assistance to community members and visitors. Effective communication and coordination with sworn and non-sworn department members via law enforcement radio talk groups. Maintaining high situational awareness to comply with Clery Act regulations. Being prepared to provide aid in emergencies, including emergency first aid or CPR.
Lead the high-profile uniformed security operations at Google's Gradient Canopy headquarters, consisting of a team of fixed-post, roving, and specialty officers. Conduct daily briefings and training sessions. Oversee coaching and discipline. Source personnel to fill staffing gaps and meet client coverage needs. Respond to emergencies, assist members of the public and employees in crises, and de-escalate and resolve issues to minimize reliance on outside resources.
Provides additional protection at Gradient Canopy, including physical security posts, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and elevated threats. Deliver essential emergency first response services, including first aid, CPR, using an AED, and de-escalating security incidents involving unexpected visitors. Maintain constant communication with the GSOC team using an LTE communicator device or LMR radio. Ensure all full-time employees and extended workforce members access the facility using the access card system, which aligns with GSRS physical security and resilience policy. Ensure all observed visitors are properly badged and accompanied by a client employee. Identify, correct, and report any improperly badged or unescorted visitors. Inquire about personnel found in restricted areas or who are not wearing badges. Check all relevant interior and exterior doors to confirm security. Ensure all vendors are authorized to conduct deliveries at the site—miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Oversee and maintain the park wide radio communications system consisting of Motorola UHF & T-Band infrastructure operating in analog conventional and DMR Tier II. Motorola, Vertex, and Tait Subscriber programing. Developed a radio subscriber fleet map and reprogramming scheme for a transition to DMR Trunking. Basic maintenance for Telex C-Soft Radio Dispatch Console system. Coordinates with department managers to ensure all end users understand how to utilize interoperability features in deployed radios during day-to-day and emergency operations.
Handles routine and emergency phone and radio dispatching at the in-house Security Operations Center. Maintains call logs and park operations logs via computer-aided dispatch and records systems. Monitors and reviews Motorola Solutions Avigilon CCTV system—clerical work, including filing paper records, radios, keys, and Axon body-worn cameras. Use and maintain a computer-based radio dispatch console for park security, contracted police, and EMS channels utilizing a secure DMR radio system and legacy analog T-band infrastructure for park operations.
