(HPE and AVL) • Ensure that all components match required target like weigth, reliability, innovative contents and delivery data. • Provide continuous proposals to improve engine target performance. • Definition and support for concept study and research activity. • Reference for whole base engine suppliers. • Reliability issue managments related to whole base engine components. • Reference contact for base engine components quality issue. • Inotroduction of additive manufacturing in base engine components design. Main skills and competences learnt: Experienced in project management. Experienced in group managments. Engine design – project skills related to main activity mentioned above. Good problem solving level related to engine study activity, chassie interface and mechanical reliability issues. Good knowledge related to machining process, casting process. (Sand casting and investements casting), engine carbon components and engine base components and process. Good knowelage related to complex structural, thermo-structural, multi body, fatigue and CFD analysis of F1 engine. Soft skills: Solution focused oriented and attitude to match all requests defining the best compromise for project results. Ability to manage large amount of data. Stress resistant even in high workload condition. High communication skills and attitude for team working. Teamplayer who like to discuss with other departments: chassis groups, calculations groups, reliability department, engine assembly departments, test bench, suppliers and quality department. Main activities/responsibilities: • Responsible for mechanical layout and simulation of main engine components. • Complex structural, thermo-structural and fatigue analysis of F1 engine. • Leadership and support of a group of 5 people. • Lead of external FEM calculation consultancies company. (HPE) • Continuous improvement of calculations methodology. • Continuous improvement of simulation – infrastructure (HW, SW, licences, processors). • Casting process management and set-up in collaborations with foundry. • Continuous proposals to improve engine target performance. • Definitions and support of concept study. • Definitions and support research activity. • Discussions on machining, carbon process to define main project concept and contents. • Reliability issue managments related to whole base engine components. • Reference contact for quality issue related base engine components. • Reference for whole base engine suppliers. Main skills and competences learnt: See above mentioned and… Experience in FEM, CFD, multi body modelling with several softwares. Ability to manage large amount of data. Problem solving related to engine reliability issue on base engine components. Very high knowledge of FEM and design tools (ABAQUS, Hyperworks, Fearce, PTC Creo, CVTS, Matlab, Engdine, AVL exice, Vectis, StarCD, StarCCM+).
