Worked in the field of agricultural research system management as head of National Agricultural Research System, comprising of 12 national research institutes of Bangladesh. Responsibility Included a) policy formulation, b) resources allocation, c) human resources development etc. Nodal person in making linkage with bilateral and international research centers/bodies. Also gained experiences in south Asian (8 countries) agriculture as Director of SAARC Agriculture Centre during 2004-2009 and organized number of regional programs focusing regional cooperation. Worked as research professional in the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council in the field of irrigation and water management during 1980-2004. During this period, major responsibility involved with coordination of agricultural engineering research and monitoring research programs. Prepared National Agriculture Policy 2018, National Agricultural Extension Policy 2020 as conveyor of the committee for Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Bangladesh. Also involved in policy formulation of the government on other issues. Published book on “Agricultural Innovation System in Bangladesh: Experiences of Asian Nations”. Produced large number of knowledge products on agricultural R & D.
Agricultural Research Management position. KGF is a grant making body for promoting quality agricultural research involving public, private and universities. Established international linkages and policy support unit at the Foundation.
